Are You Converting Grams to Teaspoons of Sugar When You Shop?

I was shocked while shopping this week.  I looked at a generic Root Beer label and it listed 47 grams of sugar!   My husband and I like to drink carbonated water with Lemon or Raspberry flavoring.   There is no sugar at all in these cans.   I found the Root Beer beverage next to the carbonated waters.

I want everyone to be aware that (1 tsp. of sugar equals 4 grams).  If we do the math, there was almost 12 teaspoons of sugar in that one can!   We can take good care of ourselves and our children by being aware of the sugar content we find in our foods.

By being diligent we do not have to substitute taste for healthy choices.  Please pass this on to others.
